 The class will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Whole Foods seating area on the second floor in the back of the store.  Please send payment of $150 (Checks made out to New York Vietnamese School) no later than the first day of 4/28/2012.  Please register with Thuy Pham, Assistant Dean @ thuyqpham1@gmail.com  or contact Dean Tara Thu at (347) 545-2882.  We will need to receive payment and confirm registration e-mail from interested students to NYVS in order for the class to start as schedule.  Thank you.

There are two adult classes and one children classes for the term.

   The Adult 1 class is for learning the alphabet and pronunciation, and the Adult 2 class is for practicing conversation and grammar.

   The Adult 2 class requires proficiency in the Adult 1 class, i.e. being able to spell in the Vietnamese method and pronounce words properly.  We may have a conversation class on Sunday based on request so please sign up if you are interested.

 Textbooks will not be provided; instead, the teacher uses handouts for each class.  The class size limit depends on enrollment, but the class size is generally not larger than 18-20 students.  We also do have TA’s that help out, and at times the teacher decides to break the class into groups. 

There is a $200 enrollment fee for Introduction to Vietnamese Adult class and for children class for the school Spring term (12 weeks) from Feb. to April, 2012.  NYVS is located at the YMCA/University Settlement, 273 Bowery (F/V to Second Avenue , 6 to Bleecker), Chinatown. Classes are every Saturday from 4-5:45 pm.  In person-registration may start from 3 pm to 3:45 pm on site from the February 4; Please contact Assistant Dean, Thuy Pham thuyqpham1@gmail.com for additonal information.  Mail-in registration for the new classes must be sent to: NYVS – Church Street Station- PO Box 644, New York, NY 10008-0644.
